Library Cards
Getting a library card is easy!
To borrow materials from our library or use our computers, it is necessary to have a valid Wilmer Library card. Children five years or older may have a library card in their name. A parent or legal guardian MUST sign all applications for library cards for children. A valid Texas driver’s license or Texas ID card MUST be presented with application. (Children applying for cards must present a driver’s license or ID card of the person signing the application.) Youth fourteen (14) and under will need to have parental or guardian permission to access the Internet and/or be seated at an Internet workstation.
TexShare Cards: You must be a member of our library for two months and in good standing, i.e. no outstanding fines or past due items for you to be eligible for a TexShare card (this applies for adults only). This card enables you to check out books from participating public and academic libraries throughout Texas.
