The Wilmer Fire Department provides a multitude of services, such as:

Calls
Since 2005, the fire department has averaged in excess of 1,000 calls per year. Approximately 80% of those calls were for ambulance service, or as it is known today, E.M.S. (Emergency Medical Service)
Fire & EMS
The City of Wilmer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency ambulance service (EMS) for Wilmer and southern Dallas County west of the Trinity River, with a response area of 44 square miles. The estimated population served is 6,690.
Staffing
The Fire Department is staffed 24 hours a day with 6 personnel on a 48/96 rotating shift. All shift personnel are cross-trained in Fire and EMS. This allows our staff to respond in the most efficient manner to whatever emergency situation they face.
North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council
The department also participates in North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (RAC).
Station
We have one Fire Station. Station one is located at 1420 N Goode Road, The Department has two fire trucks, one brush truck, and two ambulances.
